Digital Storytelling is an educational-artistic approach that enables people to tell their personal story through a 2 to 5-minute audiovisual clip. You can use photos, videos and music to share your story with others. This makes it possible to make the diversity of perspectives on social discussions visible.
In the context of our project work on remembrance culture, we deal with digital forms of remembrance work. You can look back with us on 2020: Which of your stories from the past year would you like to remember and share with others? During the workshop, participants develop their own digital story. Thus, together we create a diverse annual review and actively shape the memory of the year 2020.
Equipment needed: We suggest that you prepare your laptops or pc in order to watch online lessons, scribble ideas, formulate your story. To prepare your mobile phones and cameras in order to create visual and audio material. For editing we will use mobile phones or laptops.
Timetable: Each day you will find video lessons on Digital Storytelling, script and storybook writing, editing etc on our online learning platform. It will take you more or less one hour to go through the video lessons. Afterwards you can do the assigned task. At the end of each workshop day, we will gather in Zoom to reflect on our work and our work steps. So you can individually decide at what time of the day you want to work on your digital story. If you need help you can always contact our Digital Storytelling trainer Tina Bikic (hellodigitalstorieseuropecom).
